What a Dutch invoice should include
A Dutch factuur should show your name and address, your KvK number and btw-id, the client’s details, a sequential invoice number, the date, and btw (VAT) at 21% standard or 9% reduced as its own line — enter the rate in the Tax % field. Include a clear description of the work and your payment term (commonly 14 or 30 days).

Frequently asked questions
What’s the standard Dutch VAT (btw) rate?
The standard btw rate is 21%, with a 9% reduced rate for certain goods and services and 0% for some cases. Put the rate that applies in the Tax % field and it’s itemised on the total.
What numbers must a Dutch invoice show?
Your KvK (Chamber of Commerce) number and your btw-identificatienummer (VAT ID), plus a unique sequential invoice number. Add them to the business/notes fields so the factuur is valid.
